My name's Finn Hudson. I'm 23 years old and working at a record company in New York as an A&R rep. To better understand that, it's the same job as Simon Cowell. I studied music management at NYU as my major and held a minor in marketing. I've only been at this company about a year and helped sign two bands recently but I'm always scouting for the next talent.
A Fuinn Love Story

hbiclovefabray:

Finn let out a soft chuckle. “Castle in England, huh? I think that could be arranged. If you truly want that of course.” He’d be happy with getting married anywhere as long as she was his bride. “We could do it before you start to show.” He smiled a bit. “Since I’m pretty excited to marry you.” He said softly as his lips pressed to hers. When she asked about his mom he thought it over a moment. “She’ll be shocked but then she’ll be crying from happiness. She wants me happy and she knows I am. Getting a daughter and a grandchild at once would be a great gift to her.” He nodded his head, sure of it. “But if you want Christmas with her I can our flight moved to tomorrow morning.”

Quinn laughed looking around her apartment. She’d worked really hard on the tree that now shone proudly in her living room like something out of a holiday catalog. She’d inherited that knack from her mother. Still, she could pack up the things she’d bought Finn, it wouldn’t be hard. And Ru and McKat would be just as happy at Finn’s moms as they were here. For some reason, she just felt like she’d have a better Christmas with Finn’s mom and her future husband then they would have holed away in their apartment. “You know what…….do that.” She grinned thinking already of the outfit she’d wear in the morning. It’d be a bit stressful to pack so quickly but she had no doubt she could do it.

“Finn, I say we buy our rings when we get there to.” She smiled softly. “I’d rather have something I love from the place you grow up then something bought here in cold, mean New York.” She wrinkled her nose as she ate another pickle before closing up the jar making a mental list of the things she’d need to pack, for both of them. She’d learned after the trip to California that Finn wasn’t too good at packing. Like any guy he was always forgetting something. Scooping up McKat she moved to the bedroom looking around. “We’ll have to drug McKat first thing, I doubt she’ll enjoy flying.”

“Alright. I’ll go and do that now, baby.” He said while grabbing his laptop to change the flight, smiling over at her. He was pretty excited to be having Christmas at his mom’s and pretty excited to be bringing her there. Hell he was just excited period because they were going to be having a baby. Just as he finished changing their flight day and time he closed the laptop and put it in his laptop bag, standing and stretching as she spoke. “Yeah, we can buy them there. There’s a great jewelry shop there. A jewelry designer owns it so he makes them and puts them all on display. Family owned business.” He chuckled as he followed her into the bedroom, sitting on the bed. “How are we gonna drug McKat? I don’t think I have any kitty drugs lying around, baby.” He chuckled as he reached out for her, tugging her closer to him so he could hold her, resting his forehead against her stomach. Knowing that he was going to be a dad really made his year, practically his entire life. He’s always been someone that wanted to have a family when he got older. Sure, he loves his job and the money, but he’s definitely one of those family guys.

He smiled a little when she said she would love to marry him. “It won’t be rushed because of your parents. I really want to get married but we’ll do it when you want. We’ll do it right. I don’t want to do it in some cheap Vegas chapel or anything like that. I want my mom there, I want my friends…

His brows furrowed slightly. He could understand why she didn’t want to tell her parents but he just felt it was the right thing to do. He didn’t want them hating him after they find out much later. When she started to speak about them again an eyebrow rose. “Well..you might not be thinking about it but…I’ve thought about it a bit.” He said softly, glancing over at her. “The thought just pops into my head sometimes. I know you’re the only person I can see myself having a future with and I love you so much. I just wasn’t sure where you would stand on it, thought about bringing up in the new year. If they aren’t going to be alright with it just because of the marriage thing, we can take care of that quickly. Hell we can say that I proposed to you before you told me about being pregnant so it wouldn’t look like I did it just because of the baby.” He kissed her forehead. “We’ll do what you want. I’m happy with our life and our little family we’re starting. I know that sooner or later, I will make you my wife.”

Quinn sighed softly as she put the pickles on the counter closing her eyes, she could feel the stress already as she mentally tried to figure out if she could face her parents. She opened the jar, starting to nibble on the pickle as she glanced at Finn. “Baby, I…I love you. I want to be with you forever. And I would love to marry you. But I don’t want to rush that just because of my parents. If you really want to get married, then, lets do it. Will hop a plane tonight; right now. But…I…if we’re getting married. I want to do it right, with all our family and friends, you’re mom and dad in the front row.” She wasn’t talking about physically, she knew that wasn’t possible. But she had an idea to get bring a bit of his dad to it anyway. “If we’re doing this, we’ll do it right okay?”

He smiled a little when she said she would love to marry him. “It won’t be rushed because of your parents. I really want to get married but we’ll do it when you want. We’ll do it right. I don’t want to do it in some cheap Vegas chapel or anything like that. I can get a wedding set up, where ever you want, and get our family and friends there in a matter of a few days.”

“Four weeks?” He smiled as he looked down at her stomach, but before he could do anything else she got up, talking about pickles and orange soda. “I got M&M’s in my coat pocket. Bought a pack while I was at work.” He chuckled as he stood up and stretched, moving to his coat to pull out the package and went to place them on the counter. While she looked around in the fridge he came up behind her, sliding his arms around her waist and resting his hands against her stomach. “When we get there. It will be a surprise.” He smiled as he pressed a kiss to her shoulder. “It can be her Christmas present too. She’d love the news that she’s gonna be a grandma.” He chuckled softly, looking into the fridge to see if he could spot the pickles for her. “What about your parents though, babe?”

Quinn frowned and sighed softly as she pulled the pickle jar out of the freidge leaning into Finn’s chest as she closed the door in thought. “I guess….I don’t know Finn. Do I have to tell them? Can’t we just have the baby, show up and be like ‘here he is!’ instead of…telling them now?” She looked guiltily over her shoulder at him, knowing he woulnd’t allow that. He’d talk to her mom on the phone, and her dad of course had run all the usual back ground checks, not that she cared about them. But she knew that neither of her parents would be alright with her having a child not married. “Finn, you don’t know my parents. They won’t….we aren’t even thinking about getting married. They won’t be alright with this. I’m happy for once. I’m happy with you, and with Ru and McKat. I’m happy with our baby and our life. I don’t want my parents guilting me into feel bad about any of this.”

His brows furrowed slightly. He could understand why she didn’t want to tell her parents but he just felt it was the right thing to do. He didn’t want them hating him after they find out much later. He could tell that she worried, it was all over her face. With a soft chuckle he nodded his head. “Baby. I am very happy about this. I love you and the fact that we’re going to have a child is probably the best news I’ve ever heard in my life. It may not have been planned but I don’t mind that. It’s a pleasant surprise.” His hand came up to cup her cheek, leaning in and pressing his lips to hers gently. “I’ll be happy no matter what because I have you and a baby on the way. I’m having a baby with someone I love so much. I couldn’t be happier. Believe that, okay?” He chuckled and kissed her again but more passionately. After a few moments he pulled back, resting his forehead against hers. “This is the best Christmas present I could ever receive.” He whispered softly. “How far along did they say you are?”

Quinn smiled exhaling slowly as she lightly slid her fingers over her stomach, shrugging lightly. “Four weeks, everything is as good as it can be at this point.” She laughed softly and glanced at him. “Finn, I know this is..a moment and everything. But I really need pickles….and M&M’s………and some orange soda. I need that too. I need Orange soda.” She looked at him like she could make him understand just how much she needed her random cravings as she wiggled out of his lap to the kitchen to see if she at the very least had pickles. She was positive she did. Something about the salty and slightly vinegary vegetable had her salivating as she rooted around in the fridge. “Do you think we should tell your mom now or when we get there?”

When she said she had something for him he grinned a boyish grin. He loved early Christmas presents. As she pulled him towards the couch he let out a soft chuckle and sat down, resting his arms against her legs before taking the papers she passed him. His eyebrows furrowed in confusion for a moment before thinking she probably bought him something. With a smile he unfolded the papers and looked over them, reading each word. It took him a few moments to process what everything said. It said something about pregnancy results and being positive but it didn’t quite process yet. It wasn’t until he saw the handwritten words off to the side of the paper that read. Congratulations! You’re pregnant! in small handwriting.

With wide eyes he finally realized it, looking up at her from the letter as she said ‘Merry Christmas’. “You’re pregnant?” He asked softly in disbelief before breaking out into a large smile. “We’re having a baby?!” His face lit up with excitement as he clutched the papers in his hand a moment before dropping them on the coffee table. “Oh my God, I can’t believe it.” He laughed softly as he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her close. It definitely explained the weird cravings he started to notice. “I’m so happy, baby.”

Quinn smiled brightly letting out a sigh of relief as she saw the excitement on his face as he finally figured out what papers said. They were a bit confusing, the writing on the side was what had tipped her off to. Her doctor thought it was great news, Quinn was fit as a horse, financially stable. If anyone deserved a baby, it was her. It was weird when she considered that she’d never even thought about having a family, but she had thought about her future. A lot actually, since she’d been with Finn. He was the kind of guy every girl wanted, but very few deserved. She wasn’t fully convinced that she deserved him. But it seemed life had decided for her. She would be with Finn for the rest of her life in one way or another. And Quinn didn’t mind.

She kisses him tenderly before she smiled biting her bottom lip. “I was going to wait and tell you on Christmas, but you mention your mom and…” She chewed her bottom lip meeting his eyes shyly through her lashes. “Finn. Are you actually happy about this? I love you, and I don’t want to…I can understand if you’re….It wasn’t planned. I just want to make sure that you are absolutely sure. I love you, no matter what. I want you to be happy…” Great, she was already becoming hormonal and emotions.

He could tell that she worried, it was all over her face. With a soft chuckle he nodded his head. “Baby. I am very happy about this. While Quinn had fun decorating Finn worked on a few last minute things on his laptop. A week ago he had put in his vacation for Christmas. He did not want to work or be called in for two weeks. He’s been so busy that he hasn’t been able to just relax and enjoy his nights with Quinn as much as he usually did. Sure, he was busy with her work as well since she was one of their new artists but still. With as much as they’ve been working they hardly had time together anymore since they were usually exhausted. Of course she would win with him on having Christmas in her apartment, honestly he considered just moving in since he was here more than his own apartment. Maybe he would surprise her with that for Christmas, moving in. He knew it was what she wanted. Hell, they love each other and they’ve been together for a while. Wasn’t it about that time where they should be moving in together?

As he finished typing up the last of his paperwork her voice broke his concentration, causing him to look up, smiling. “Looks amazing, baby.” He said softly, rubbing the back of his neck and turning it until he heard the slight pop. A moment later he stood and moved towards her, wrapping his arms around her from behind. “And it’s been snowing a lot the past few days. Gonna have a beautiful, white Christmas and a beautiful tree.” Christmas was fast approaching and he still had to buy a few more things, he’s always been a bit of a last minute shopper. “I did tell you that we’re going to see my mom for a few days right?” He chuckled, he’s been so busy he couldn’t remember if he did or not. “Day after Christmas we’re set to head out there. She’s dying to meet you in person instead of just on the phone.”

Honestly, he couldn’t wait for his mother to meet her either. With as much as he talks about Quinn his mother loved the sound of her and even loved her just from the few times she’s spoken with her on the phone. His mom was happy over how happy he is with her. Though she’s been asking constantly when they were getting married which always caused him to laugh a bit nervously and say ‘I don’t know’. He really didn’t know. They haven’t been together that long so even though sometimes the thought crosses his mind on having a future with her he doesn’t voice it. Last thing he wants to do is scare her off by talking about how she’s the only girl he sees himself having a future with and wants her every moment of forever.

Quinn smiled, knowing that the clock was ticking, Christmas was almost on them, and she was meeting his mom and if there was one person you couldn’t hide a pregnancy from, it was a baby nurse. And she was Finn’s mom, the blond was pretty convinced her mom-sense would be tingling. Turning in her boyfriends arms she pressed a soft kiss to his lips before she moved out of his grasp, missing the heat from his body already. “I have something for you, its an early gift. But I need to have it now, because I’m down right impatient!” She left out the part about how she really couldn’t hide it any longer, she was seriously craving some pickles and M&M’s, and she wouldn’t be able to explain why until Finn knew. It was better this way.

Moving across the room she dug through a stack of envelopes until she found the one she was looking for, she’d considered wrapping it but figured that would be a bit much. The news in and of itself needed no wrapping. Taking a deep breath to steady her nervous, she pulled him back to the couch sitting so her legs were over his lap, her back pressed against the arm rest as she took the papers out of the envelope and passed them to Finn with a nervous smile on her face. After a moment she smiled, “Merry Christmas?”

Quinn grinned at the tree, as she placed the last sparkling bulb to hang from the only free branch that seemed to be left. It’d taken some convincing, but eventually she’d won, and Christmas was to be in her apartment this year, while she promised to let Finn have New Years. Really, it was about time they picked a place and just moved in together. And she wasn’t giving up her apartment. It was bigger, and the extra room would be well utilized. She’d gone so far as to move all of the stuff out of her extra room, the one that wasn’t for music, she had three; and she was now panting the walls a soft mellow shade of blue. She knew that babies room were usually gender neutral until the family knew the sex, but Quinn hated yellow and really. The blue was pretty enough to be for either. Any child of hers would love blue.

Of course, she was trying to think of the perfect way to tell Finn the news that she hoped would be good to him. It shocked the hell out her. It was just a missed period right? Nothing to panic about. That’s what she thought anyway. But a week later when it still hadn’t come she tried a pregnancy test, she’d had to time it just right while Finn was at work so he wouldn’t know, the evil little pink plus had almost been the death her. But hard headed as always, she called her doctor for an emergency appointment, telling Finn it was for a mammogram. Nothing to panic about, and he’d smiled looking a little confused like he did when she was acting strangely and she’d done the tests that way. Blood, urine, an ultra sound. And there it was.

She’d tucked the papers away after deciding that she’d wait for the things to calm down a bit at his work. That had been two weeks ago. Currently she mused as she stared at the tree, things hadn’t calmed down at all, actually they’d become MORE busy. Quinn wondered if maybe there was no such thing as perfect timing. Maybe just giving him the news out right before she started to show would be better? She was already eating weird food, Chinese however was her absolute favorite at the moment. She wanted it constantly, and she worried that Finn was maybe getting a bit burnt out on it. “Baby, how does the tree look?” She asked looking at him over her shoulder with a smile as he lounged on her couch, typing away on his laptop doing some paper work or another.
